McAfee, the American global computer security software company announced that they will launch new security solutions to protect consumers’ privacy and keep children away from online stalkers. This news has been announced by a senior official at McAfee. John Giamatteo, General Manager, consumer business, at the US Company said that the firm is also planning to launch a security portfolio for IOT (Internet of Things) as the next step for this information security vendor is to protect customers’ families.
He also said that the antivirus will continue to be an essential component in providing complete security. McAfee will add McAfee Safe Connect, which is a virtual private network that makes an encrypted bridge between your system and the internet. They will also add McAfee Safe Family to ensure the safety of your children from online predators and stalkers. This clearly shows that McAfee is focusing on bringing the utmost level of protection to what matters most to their customers.
Both the aforementioned security solutions run on PCs, Android and iOS devices. To offer its great range of antivirus security solutions, McAfee has distributed partnership with the popular computer manufacturers (Lenovo, ASUS, Dell and HP) as well as smartphone vendors (Micromax, Samsung and LG).
According to a report from an analyst firm Gartner, there is an expected rise of 12 billion in the number of internet-connected devices till 2020. In addition, the business expenditure on the same will be raised by $3 trillion by then. With this increase in the different IoT and connected home devices, protecting the PCs and mobile phones would not be enough.

McAfee Activate is also trying to educated people about the online threats and viruses with its blogs. The firm is also working closely with the govt. to bring in the mechanisms that can withstand any possible online attack situation.
The head of R&D operations at McAfee said that the company is making animated videos in different languages in order to make people understand about the cyber risks. These videos have been named as e-mantras. Venkat Krishnapur has also said that “We are hoping to launch it through the govt. utilizing their different sources to actually push that down to the common man”.
